The current series of paintings of Australian themes of beaches and desert are inspired by regular visits to Western Australia's Margaret River region. There is a unique blend of turquoise coloured sea and fine white sand contrasted with flat plains of deep red earth and lush greens when you travel a short distance inland.
Other artworks completed are abstract paintings inspired by music, pastel life drawings and sculptures in resin and metal.
Originally I trained and worked as a commercial interior designer and continued to paint as a hobby since childhood. I finally decided to take a new direction to focus on a more creative career and subsequently studied a BA in Illustration at Westminster University and last year I finished a Masters at the University of Hertfordshire in fine and applied arts practice.
I work full time as an artist and exhibit regularly. Historically, I have exhibited at Candidarts in Islington, Art in Mind Part 11 in EC1, Battersea Contemporary Art Fair and Artshed Gallery in New Milton.
Forthcoming venues include local Galleries and Cafes in Muswell Hill including Chorak and Queenswood Cafes.
It is possible to arrange to see work by appointment in North London.
Commissions are available if you like what you see, but require a different size.
